In your Enlistment form you are required to provide Task Force 13 (TF13) with your Player/ArmA 3 Identification Number (ID). This is a number unique to every legal copy of ArmA 3, which is used for Squadl XML, and other functions on TF13 servers. The Squad XML page is published to the public, allowing anyone to view the webpage, which will have your ArmA 3 Name, Player/ArmA 3 ID, and other information, such as the Unit information, email address, website, and many more. The Squad XML file also allows you to attach the URL to the webpage to your Player/ArmA 3 profile in game, allowing for any player on the servers to view your affiliation, and display the sexy unit emblem as a patch on your character, and on the side of any vechile that you are driving.
To find your Player Identification Number you will first need to launch ArmA 3, and looking at the menu screen, not your launcher.
Once your Arma 3 launches to the main menu screen click on the Profile icon in the upper right hand corner. Here is a screenshot on were to click:
Click on the NAME of you character in game, it would look simular to this image below:
The new screen will have a list of characters you have made in ArmA 3, select the one you want to use for Task Force 13, or even make a new one. Then click on the Character name, and select Unit on the right, after the Avatar tab, shown in this image below:
Hit the EDIT button, the UNIT section is a drop down menu, select Custom, below is an image for you:
You want your PLAYER ID, and please don't copy mine. Also, the SQUAD XML you will need to have is the same in the image above, you can copy, and paste this URL into the SQUAD XML field: http://squad.tf13arma.com/
